We know that you want to know how long you are likely to wait for your appointment.
Waiting times are different for each treatment pathway. Your GP or healthcare professional may have told you which pathway they referred you to, such as:
- Online physiotherapy
- A group class
- A face-to-face appointment with a specialist
Our clinical team reviews every referral carefully and chooses the treatment pathway that is most suitable for you. This may sometimes be different from what your GP expected - if this happens, please do not worry.
Below are the average waiting times for patients who attended appointments last month, measured from the date of referral to their first appointment.
| Digital physiotherapy | 2-4 weeks |
| Digital individual specialist assessment | 9 weeks |
| In-person group exercise and education classes | 7 weeks |
| In-person individual physiotherapy | |
| In-person individual specialist assessment | 8 weeks |
| Rheumatology | 2 weeks |
If referral numbers and clinic availability remain similar, patients being referred now can usually expect similar waiting times.
Many of our pathways will be bookable on our Patient Portal, once appointments are available. We will let you know if this applies to you, including more information about how it works.
For pathways which aren't bookable via the Patient Portal, we will contact you directly.
