Experience:
Meera has worked in the NHS and private sector and has over 15 years’ experience. She has worked in mental health services (adult and older people) in Birmingham and Bedford and in clinical health psychology (psycho-oncology and renal services) at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. Meera has also worked as a Psychologist in a mental health service in Bermuda (2013-2015).

Meera has previously been an Honorary Tutor on the University of Birmingham Clinical Psychology Doctorate course, offering workshops and clinical placements to local Trainee Clinical Psychologists.

Meera joined the Circle MSK Bedfordshire team in March 2017 and has taken a lead role in developing and integrating a Psychology Service within pain management. This includes a direct clinical service to patients and establishing a role within the wider multi-disciplinary team through consultation and offering staff training.

Meera has been actively involved in setting up and co-facilitating the Circle MSK Pain Management Programme (LEAP). This is a structured, evidence-based group intervention facilitated by psychology and physiotherapy for patients with persistent pain.
