Experience:
Matthew is a New Zealand trained physiotherapist with extensive musculoskeletal experience clinically, working with athletes in elite sport and pitch side, through to chronic pain patients and sedentary populations.

Matthew began with circle MSK part-time in 2016 and combines his extended scope work with lecturing and research at the University of Birmingham, where he leads the post graduate Exercise and Sport Medicine (Football) programme, which is run in partnership for the Football Association.

Matthew is research active, with a special interest in the physiological and psychosocial aspects of pain and sports medicine. Matthew’s Doctoral research focuses on interventions that modify the Physical Activity behaviours of chronic pain patients.
